From Decca newsletter:

Quote:

All Angels

All Angels return this autumn with an album of music inspired by America. The close-harmony girl group, who came to prominence and broke chart records while still schoolgirls, are moving away from their purely classical roots and will bring their flawless sonorities to songs that epitomise America.

Fly Away showcases America's rich musical history, from Leonard Bernstein to Norah Jones, mixing up the well-known with the original but always the very best America has to offer. The girls, now at university, were particularly interested in tracing America's musical roots back through performance rather than the history books. In doing this they have brought America's musical heritage to life.

'Fly Away' is released 28th September

Hi everyone!

I notice that Play.com and Amazon now have short promo videos up for the new album... but am I the only who is having trouble with the sound on Amazon? The video plays all right-- but no sound! Anyway, the video on Play.com is fabulous. :)

I didn't get sound on the amazon video, either, but I could tell they were singing "Come Away With Me" by reading their lips for the words ;D

Hi Chantelle,

I also had problems with the sound on Amazon, I don't usually and tested out another video which was fine, so I just think it's a problem with that video.

I watched it on play.com and it's a lovely promo video

ssecm89, nice try but they were singing 'I'll Fly Away' ;)

yeah, the Play.com one was "I'll Fly Away", but the Amazon one is supposed to be, "Come Away With Me". I went back and watched and noticed that it mentioned it at the top of the video screen before you push play, haha. I would have saved myself a lot of time trying to read their lips if I had just looked at the obvious.

Hi ssecm89,

So you are right!

I have e-mailed Amazon about the video so hopefully they will sort it soon.

Haha, I did the same this morning! Hopefully more than one person voicing their opinion will give them more reason to change it. 'Come Away With Me' is a beautiful song, and I am very interested to hear the girls voices on it. I'm sure Daisy will sound spectacular on it, seeing as its slightly jazzy and thus right up her alley. I really like this new look they have, it seems very down to earth and approachable. Haha, they seem like girls I would say hi to on my way to class.

Hi Everyone,

I have recieved another e-mail from Decca about the new album which you can see HERE

It gives you links to the two promo videos on YouTube and you can also see the television commercial.

We will be creating a new sub forum for the album very soon.

Does anyone know if the album release date has officially changed to January? If so that makes me extremely sad. September 28th is so close!

Hi Matt,

It is looking likely. The girls said during last weeks concert at Shrewsbury that the release date is now January. Play.com have also changed the release date to 11/01/10.

There has been no news officially from Decca though.

Could someone help me out? I've already seen reviews for "Fly Away" on several websites. Both the reviews I saw were posted on the 28th, the day the Album was originally supposed to come out in the UK. I'm curious to know how these individuals already heard the songs......Also, I live in the states the the US Amazon site has the album release date set for October 13th. Anyone know if this is valid? Or will the likely change it in a few days and put it back 3 or 4 months?
