I was just pondering singing in general today. Things like... how so many professional sopranos' speaking voices sound so different than their singing voices... and how my jazz vocal coach is always reminding me to "sing like I talk," which results in a completely different sound than when I sing classically (which is good, because my speaking voice is quite low and rather brassy-- completely unsuited for classical! lol) But as I was thinking about all this, it suddenly occured to me that the Angels' singing voices match their speaking voices perfectly. They all have very smooth, melodic, rich speaking voices, and those qualites transfer effortlessly to their singing. So! I thought it was an interesting observation... and I was just wondering if anyone else had any thoughts on speaking vs. singing voices, pertaining either to All Angels, or singers in general. (Apologies if I've posted this thread in the wrong spot. If the conversation waxes too "general" then I'm sure the admins will move it to the Miscellaneous board )
