I like their sound but, because of their age, I don't care for a number of the songs on the track list and their not really breaking any new or interesting ground.
This will definitely be a short term group unless they play musical chairs by adding new players as time goes by.
The CD hasn't enough interesting songs and is rather short to begin with to invest in.

Thanks for the information, Drew! The confusion is starting already. I saw your post via the 'last 30' function, and I looked at all the dates before I read the title of the thread. I was very disappointed to find that I can't attend the switch-on at Covent Garden, but then I realised it's the 'other' group. Phew!!! Best Wishes, Richard :jester:

Hi Drew and Richard, I took a nice photograph of Natalie and Amy at Westminster Cathedral, but was unsure whether to post it or not, but as you have started I will post it here. Steve H

Just to clarify our position with regard to Angelis, Steve Abbott went out of his way to be friendly towards them in Westminster Abbey and to organise photographs of them with All Angels. If he can do it, we are happy to do likewise. Roger

Well I've resisted talking about Angelis until I had the chance to hear first, all the album track samples and now, finallly, the entire album. These are my comments. Positive comments1. There is a nice choice of lovely songs on the album. 2. This is nicely pleasant music ideal for work, supermarkets or lifts/elevators. 3. They will help to "spread the word" about classical crossover music. Negative comments1) They sound 'breathy' and not very much like top class choirboys and girls (for example those at Young Chorister of the Year). They have pleasant enough voices though. 2) They do not seem to do live performances - a recording of their GMTV performance I've seen was definitely not "live" and the presenters conspicuously did not even hint that it was "live" 3) Much of the backing on most of their album tracks is clearly synthesised. No other performer (such as an orchestra) is credited on iTunes for example - and iTunes generally post full credits. 4) Because of the synthesised backing, most of the tracks sound pretty much the same - there is little variety. 5) There are only 11 tracks (low for the UK) totalling 39 minutes running time (very low). OverallI find this album very disappointing. It is not at all what I like to hear and it has the stamp of a pop producer and low-budget production all over it. This saddens me. What real musicians using real classical (or any) instruments did Mr Cowell & Co. employ in this production? Not many, by the sound of it. It may sound pleasant enough to many of the general public who know not what classical music should be... but this is most definitely NOT classical music and I'll eat my hat if it qualifies for the UK classical charts. It is pleasant and undemanding MUZAK. Westlife could have done it just as well. But many people who are not "into" classical music will like it and... with Mr Cowell and his huge PR machine behind it, it is sure to do well. Dave

I saw one video where they being interviewed and they were asked to sing and they did a nice version of "Angel" a capella. They seem to be a lovely group of young people, and I wish them the best. But I agree with you Dave, that their voices aren't quite up to the standards of the top class choristers. But their sweet and cute. Although, I'm crossing my fingers that All Angels beat them in the charts, lol. I'm so evil!

Be careful about talking of eating hats, Dave.
1. I still can't find the one I lost. 2. Mine are most assuredly NOT edible... they just get lost! 3. I still haven't found a decent replacement--it was my favourite Fedora. 4. Consequently, I find talk of eating a decent hat very upsetting! :exit: Peter S.

I think they sound nice...i will have to hear more to really know though. I do like that they are a bit diverse. I do enjoy the uniformity of style and sound of All Angles, but this will be a nice contrast. (At least in my opinion).

I have to say that I agree with pretty much all of the above posts, but it's bad form not to back up your opinion, so here it is:
Their music works as an album, some fans, such as myself, who prefer music live would find this music extremely disappointing. I'm one of those old-fashioned guys that like their music raw with a caesar salad side-dressing. Don't get me wrong, I like their music, but it could be a lot better. They have the innocence quality that the public en masse desire when it comes to choirs and such, but the music industry is quite harsh and an undesirable career for one's who are at such a young age. I've noticed a few friends of mine placing bets at who will be the first to become a drug addict. My bet is the tall boy.
However, the music industry is harsh enough without someone who can't tell the difference between The Carpenters and The Beachboys, so I'll keep my mouth shut and merely wish the luck and all the best for the future.
Hi, I'm new, by the way.

Angelis are ok but their not as good as All Angels, in my opinion. They do have talent but I don't know theres just something about them I don't like.
