As another long-term fan and regular member of Katherine's forum, I thought I had to post something on this topic Have been a Katherine fan since I saw her guest at a Hayley concert in Northampton not long after Premiere had been released. Like many others, I have since travelled far and wide to Katherine's concerts and been fortunate enough to meet her on a number of occasions so quite a few programmes and CDs have autographs. Looking forward to seeing VLD again (this time in Cardiff) and 1 or 2 of the summer concerts again

Hi Meldy
Have you received your Katherine DVD yet?? I guess it will be Katherine in the Park. A super DVD, I was fortunate enough to have been at this concert at Margam Park, it was a wonderful evening. Thankfully the DVD lets us watch the concert again and again....
All the best Graham

Katherine appeared on GMTV this morning to sing "Somewhere" from West Side Story. I'm not a big KJ fan but I must admit she looked absolutely stunning today.
I have to say though that I much preferred Hayley's rendition of this lovely tune at Woburn last year.

Hi Mark,
I was at Ripley Castle too on Saturday. It was an excellent show despite the weather. With the risk of rain I didn't get my camera out - I need it for my holiday next week!
I have seen Katherine quite a few times now and think that her outdoor concerts are fantastic, she seems to enjoy them a lot more too which I think shows in her performance. Although one downside was things seemed a little rushed, probably because there was so much to fit in than there usually is.
Did you stay for One Night With Queen? What a contrast that was! But I thought they were excellent too.

Hi Dazza
I completely agree with you that Katherine really seems to enjoy the outdoor concerts - she appears completely at ease with the audience. Not only does she have a fantastic voice, but she also puts on a great all round show when she chatters with the audience in between songs - I thought it was really funny when she was having at laugh at the expense of Amaury Vasilli, telling everyone how he left his trousers at home in France that morning and had to rush out and buy some 'George' by Asda trousers before the concert started.
I did stay for the One Night of Queen appearance at the end of the night; although I think they were very talented, they weren't really my cup of tea. I'm sure they'd put on a very good show in their own right, but personally I don't think the type of music mixed very well with Katherine Jenkins. I agree that the main Katherine concert did seem a bit rushed - I think she must have sung the normal summer concert setlist (the only exception I noted was that the proms section at the end was trimmed a bit). You did get the impression she was rushing from one song to the next without quite as much banter in between - when I looked at my watch when she finished her encore of We'll Meet Again, it wasn't even 9.50pm - probably half an hour shorter than a normal concert. Anyway, I still thoroughly enjoyed it and will definately be going to another of her concerts.
