I'm a new fan and want to buy 2 or 3 CD's.
Are there any that would be recommended over others? Or would I be safe just picking a few at random?
From what I listened to on their website that is the case, but I wanted to get some of the experts opinions.
Thanks

Hi Harold,
The girls have released three albums so far...
All Angels (Debut Album)
Into Paradise (Second Album)
Fly Away (Third Album)
There is also a special edition of All Angels
I would recommend them all but if you are more into the classical side of things then the first two albums are probably better for you, Fly Away is an American themed album with more crossover songs but there is still the classical side mixed in two. I Say get them all!
My favourite album personally is Into Paradise because it contains my two favourite songs ‘Sancte Deus’ and ‘Singing You Through’ but I love them all.
If you are into Jazz then Daisy also has a solo Jazz album ‘Simply Jazz’ which she released before All Angels.
Hope this helps.

'Fly Away' features music originating in America, as Dazza has said, so it might appeal to you. It gives more prominence to some of the solo voices but also has some gorgeous harmonies.
If you prefer the more classical side (like Jackie sings) then I would recommend 'Into Paradise' as your first purchase. It is also my favourite, and I expect you have already read some of what I have to say about 'Singing You Through'. It has been the defining theme for me this year.
Whichever album you listen to first, you won't want to wait for the others, so buy them all if you can.
John

The girls have released three albums so far... OK, for some reason I thought they had a couple more. I'll do a little more sampling on their website, but I think I'll end up getting all 3. Hmmmmm.....wondering what percentage of each CD sold dazza gets........ From what I've heard I think I will like them all too. Yes it did, thank you! Harold

Harold,
Loving the sense of humour :applaud:
I can see you are going to fit in well here!
To be fair though Dazza is right, all 3 are fantastic albums.
Please check out the All Angels recording an EP thread.
I would love to know what tracks you feel that AA should record, as someone that has only recently discovered them.

I'd love to know how this makes sense. Or am I missing something??
"Fly Away" on Amazon USA is $31.98
On Amazon UK it's 3.40GBP and 3.08GBP shipping.
For a whopping grand total of $10.55 USD
Care to guess where I'll be ordering this one from??

Harold, you have discovered that universal truth - it pays to shop around. Shipping costs can also make a huge difference.
I buy about 80% of my CDs from Amazon UK, but sometimes they have silly prices, or don't have the album at all.
For some of the lesser known artists, it can be best to order from the artist's own website.
All Angels are a UK group, so thankfully their music is readily available over here. You have just avoided paying the price for their lack of market penetration elsewhere.
Spread the word, Harold. Nobody should be denied the pleasure of hearing such beautiful music.

Spread the word, Harold. Nobody should be denied the pleasure of hearing such beautiful music. I agree!! Friday I started a thread for All Angels in the "More Classical Crossover" section on Jackie's forum! Also started another thread tipping people off to checking Amazon UK for better prices on CD's labeled "Import" on Amazon US and used AA as the example.

Hi Harold, Glad to see that you are spreading the word, as John has put so perfectly "Nobody should be denied the pleasure of hearing such beautiful music" It always pays to shop around, luckily here in the UK most CD's are available for a reasonable price although I have brought some from Japan and Australia before so I know it can be expensive. Hope you enjoy the albums, even though you are ordering from the UK it will be worth the wait! Hmmmmm.....wondering what percentage of each CD sold dazza gets........ When you find out, can you let me know? ;D Dazza

Got an e-mail from Amazon (US) yesterday that "All Angels" has shipped. Should get it tomorrow or Thursday I would think. For whatever reason Amazon UK couldn't ship this one the US.
Projected delivery for "Into Paradise" and "Fly Away" is late next week.
