Hi Steve, Thanks for the warning, I had planned to go to Tesco this evening! I will now phone them first. Is it possible that your local store hadn't got round to loading their racks with today's new releases yet? I expect All Angels to out-sell Angelis this week, though they probably won't match Angelis's total sales for last week. I think some of the chain stores (such as Woolworths, AA no. 20 ) have got this week's relative chart positions for these two albums hopelessly wrong. I wonder if Sony/BMG have done a discount deal with Woolworths to get Angelis a higher chart position on the racks (and AA lower). Hopefully the word will soon get out that the AA album is better produced and they are better singers than Angelis, so they will stay ahead until Christmas. I'd be even more confident if I thought that the top albums were always decided on merit, rather than hype! Cheers, Dave

Roger, we do not see anything on the 'sleeve' regarding who sings what. Are you able to glean this information from Steve or Kathryn? Hi Drew, I have already asked and the only information that was forthcoming was that Daisy sings the low parts... but we knew that! Roger

Hi! Today I was browsing at iTunes UK and there were two different All Angels albums. The normal 13-tracks album and an EU-version with 14 tracks. Unfortuneately I couldn't find the EU-version in iTunes Germany which means that nothing has been realeased here so far. Can the 14-tracks version also be found in stores in the UK? Would be nice. Then I would buy that album when I go to the UK in December because track no. 14 is Amazing Grace. I pre-listened on iTunes and that is one of my favorite songs. :applaud: :applaud: Absolutely amazing. ;D ;D ;D Thomas

Hi Thomas,
Thank you for the information. I am not aware that the version with 'Amazing Grace' is available here but we will look out for it now!

Now that's one for the book, a Uk and an EU version. What a way to confuse everyone! Is the only difference the extra track or are there other track changes within the number?
More importantly how, if at all, does this affect the charts?

Hi Folks, Well Its not looking good around here, Woolies sold out, Tesco sold out and HMV sold out! I think its the 'Laura' factor, being local there is a lot of people wanting the album, and only a limited number of sources. I will have the MP3's tonight so at least I can listen to it on my Ipod. and I will buy the album at the weekend. Steve H :exit: :snoring:

Hi Steve, that is both encouraging and discouraging news, both at the same time! First, it indicates that in some areas, retailers grossly underestimated demand - and I have a feeling that yours won't be the only area. I suspected this would happen because of the ridiculously low in-house chart positions some chain stores have the album in (anyone who has it below no. 10 is mad - Woolworths are the worst culprits and they were always going to sell out. At my local Asda, All Angels and Angelis are toe-to-toe, both having sold half of their initial stock this week in a day and a half (a a dozen each). Both are selling better than Katherine this week. At Sainsburys, it is the same. I went to two Tescos. The first was priced correctly - cheaper than Angelis and Katherine, and they were down to their last three (so more sales than Angelis and Katherine). At the larger Tesco Extra All Angels was STILL not priced and many people won't pick up buy unpriced albums! I made that mistake yesterday and bought it elsewhere. It should have been £7.97 and now it has the correct price sticker on (after I protested ) I am sure it will sell like hot cakes. Cheers, Dave

The clip from Amazing Grace sounds great! I think it is Daisy singing?

Hi All.
Well today (Friday 17th November) they had it at No.4 in Waitrose but at £11.99 and with only 13 tracks so I ducked out until I'm in London.

Hi all,
I "stumbled" across this site from another site well known to us all. It seems there's this girl from NZ that has opened up a whole new world of music for me....gosh...what is her name?? But anyway, I have only heard excerpts from their official site and this fansite, but they do sound really, REALLY good!! I believe I would like to add these very talented young ladies to my CD collection; however, I am wondering about something.
I am guessing that the All Angels CD has not been released in the US, yet. I searched Amazon.com and it looks as though all my options are for "imported" CD's. Not a bad deal, I'm guessing...just a bit more expensive. Any ideas when (or if) they will have CD's for sale here in the States?
Thanks for any info and Best Wishes, All Angels (Charlotte, Melanie, Laura, and Daisy)!!![/b] Eric
EDIT: Hmmm...talking to himself again, he proceeds to explain how he inadvertently bypassed 'page 4' while thoroughly reading pages 1,2,3, and 5 of this thread. Unbeknownst to him, the well-informed Joe had already searched and found the answer. hmv.co.uk Problem solved. Now, a new question arises, Should I purchase the first CD (or wait 'til the new one comes out - the "reissue" as listed on hmv.co.uk site)?? Thanks again, guys.

Hello Eric, and welcome to the forum. Haven't I seen you somewhere before? I would advise you to wait until the new version is released on 14th May. There will be three new tracks ('Make Me A Channel Of Your Peace', 'Pie Jesu' and 'Sancte Deus'), and you will only miss out on 'Silent Night'. Best Wishes from London, Richard

Hi Eric! OMG, it's like an HWI reunion here, isn't it! I have to agree with Richard that the re-release is probably the one to go for. Three additional tracks instead of one (Silent Night) sounds good to me. Thanks for joining us here, Eric and I hope we can bring you a report or two from the Classical Brits later this week. All the best, Roger

Hi Richard, Stuart, and Roger!! Thanks for the reply! I was half expecting everyone to suggest that both of the CD's should be purchased. :jester: Of course, I know they should, but you all did an excellent job in outlining the differences if one should have to choose between the two! I think I may pre-order my copy of the new edition and perhaps save a few dollars. (The website is a UK site and the conversion from USD to pounds may create a slight fee...but this seems to be one of the cheaper routes to go). This brings up another question, however, which may or may not go here in this thread...Do "Special Edition" CD's like this one from All Angels (or any artist) count towards overall sales of their CD's, or are their CD sales calculated differently with each different edition (i.e. original CD sales v. special edition CD sales)? (Are both CD's tallied under "All Angels" sales?) Hope I haven't confused anyone other than myself with this question...and thanks again for the reply. I'm looking forward to hearing those reports, Roger. It sounds as if All Angels is already off to a great start in their careers! :applaud: Regards, Eric
