Hi folks! I have been assured tonight that will be releasing their second album during 2007. I wonder if I can pre-order it now! Roger

It's nice to see that they're going to make speedy recording time a habit.
I get SO tired waiting for several years for some of my favorite bands to record an album... track by track by instrument by instrument... the fine art of session recording needs to be revived! But I digress...
A 2nd album so soon! That's wonderful!! =D

Already? I'm a great fan of Cara Dillon and Nerina Pallot. The reason I mention these two singers is because it had taken me the best part of a year to get all of their albums! I went to my local HMV and other music stores today, to buy Christmas presents and to look for the debut album from All Angels. But alas, I could not find it I just hope I don't have to wait a year to own it, and another year for the second album! Agreed, it would be well worth a wait, and good luck to the Quartet on this next adventure

Please note, this thread is for a possible NEW album which I was told may be released this year and not merely a re-release of the existing one. Roger

What's the deal with re-realeasing anyways? I totally vote for a new album!

I like the title posted at HMV but I hope it isn't that because Sissel's latest album (which I have) is called Into Paradise.
Incidentally, I have a belated suggestion for a track on the 2nd album. Last Saturday, on the Classic FM Chart Show, Mark Forrest played a track from the All Angels Special Edition... which was only ever released for download. He played John Brunning's Pie Jesu and it's the first time I've ever heard them play a track from a digital-only release.
However... it sounded and sounds absolutely exquisite - for me it was the highlight of the entire chart show. It deserves far greater recognition than it will get from a digital special edition so I very much hope it will be included on the All Angels 2nd CD - whatever it is called. Pie Jesu (Brunning).
Cheers, Dave

Perhaps Steve Abbott has been invited to Woburn by the Duke of Bedford next Saturday. There will certainly be a number of UCJ luminaries there. Somebody must know the answer. (If we can remember to ask.)

This e-mail just in from (Laura) UCJ: We can exclusively reveal that All Angels have finished recording their second album. The album is set for release in November and for an exclusive insight into the recording process here is a note from Laura:
Being back in the studio again with the other three girls was great fun but also hard work. I particularly enjoy the recording process where we're listening to the CD growing, bit by bit...the orchestra...the vocals...until they are complete and there's a finished song. It was satisfying to develop harmonies for some of the pieces as we always are given a certain amount of input and freedom, especially with the popular pieces, and although at times the classical repertoire is challenging, it is very rewarding when you have completed a piece to your satisfaction. There was a really nice atmosphere around the studio - meeting new people and seeing the familiar faces we saw the last time we were recording...there is always a light hearted, positive feeling which helps the music as well! It is difficult to decide on a favourite track - the new CD has a variety of pieces from the lighter, more contemporary tracks to classical works. I suppose that as I enjoy singing the classical repertoire best, then my favourite has to be either Handels Queen of Sheba or Faure's In Paradism as it has always been one of my faves. It was interesting to hear it done with four female voices instead of trebles and a choir and I really like the outcome! It has a very busy past few weeks but we have all really enjoyed ourselves and hope everyone enjoys listening to the album as much as we did making it!
Love Laura xx
In other news All Angels will be singing at The Shrewsbury Flower Show on 11 August. For more details on this event Click Here
