'Into Paradise' Nominated for Album Of The Year

Hi Everyone,

I have just recieved the latest edition of Classic FM magazine and it includes details about the Album Of The Year Award for this years Classical Brit Awards.

The good news is that 'Into Paradise' is one of the nominations for this years award.

This is the only award chosen by the public and we can vote at www.classicalbrits.co.uk/ from 6th March.

The winner will be announced at the Classical Brit Awards on Thursday 8th May at the Royal Albert Hall.

Last year was great because we got to perform there as well, but unfortunately it was pretty hard competing with such big names like Paul McCartney and Sting (among the many other fabulous nominees) especially since we were so new. But at least we got to have a wee chat with them Smiley

In response to Bob's thread which he posted HERE and I will quote here....

Hey Guys, have you voted yet? If not why not? As you know the ‘In Paradise’ album is one of several nominations for the Classical Album of the Year at the Classical BRIT Awards on 8 May 08. This is the only award that we can influence as it is voted on by us the public. The girls are up against some stiff competition but we can do it, I have managed to get at least 50 of my friends/colleagues to vote online so it is possible believe me. Everybody must know at least 10 people who have a computer with access to the internet so I challenge each Forum member to get at least 10 of their friends and family to vote, this would add over 1000 extra votes. I am hoping to get at least other 20 signed up over the next few weeks, that is the power of the internet and the power of the people – US! I contacted most of my friends by e-mail and asked them to listen to the tracks from the album that are played as background music on the AA webpage, it worked! They may also have gained a few more fans along the way.

The ‘In Paradise’ album is not only a superb CD but the girls are supporting 2 excellent charities on their cathedral tour and we must support and encourage young British talent. If we can not do it as devoted true ‘All Angels’ fans then nobody will do it for us!

That is excellent, like you I have been trying my best to help spread the word and get others to vote, all of my family and most of my friends have now voted, a couple of people have even gone and brought the album as a result.

To get over 50 votes from your friends and family though is fantastic, you are doing All Angels proud!

Every vote counts so it is important that All Angels get as many votes as possible before voting closes on 11th April.

Hi Guys,

I have managed to secure even more votes and I am hopeful that as most of my colleagues and friends work in the Healthcare profession and the Armed Forces they will spread the word on their address books and it will have a knock on effect. I get al least about another 6 a day e-mailing to say they have voted and have forwarded the message on. It would be really great for them to win and I will be keeping my fingers, legs, arms and toes crossed for them. The closing date is just over a week to go so spread the word and vote now! I will be at a Katherine Jenkins concert on 8 May so will miss the winner.

Hi Bob,

You are doing a fine bit of promotion there and I'm sure the girls would appreciate it!

You won't miss the winner because there are about 22 members of the AAI and HWI forums who will be going to the awards and I suspect one of us will provide some sort of report pretty soon afterwards. Also, highlights will be televised on the following Sunday on ITV1 so you won't miss much!

It would be so good if they won, I think that I would be just as proud as the girls would be in their magnificent achievement! Winning is all that matters now!

I hope that my e-mails are circulating around most of the health service and half of the Army by now and maybe they can gather a few more fans along the way as I have directed then to their website as well.
