Hi all! Garfunkels sounds perfect. They certainly looked after us when about a dozen of us invaded them in September 2005 when Hayley appeared at St James's. I will aim to be there by 4.30 but don't be surprised if you see me wandering aimlessly around the area much earlier! Northern Lights, many of us like to have a social gathering for a few hours prior to a concert. As we tend to come from all parts of England, these are generally the only occasions when we are able to meet up. Roger

Hello Dazza and everybody! The Garfunkel's restaurant I'm thinking of is on the south side of Piccadilly, at the Piccadilly Circus end. There is a Ponti's next door, and St. James's Church is a short walk along Piccadilly. See you there, Richard

Hello everyone
As I drove to my meeting tonight, I had Classic FM playing in the car. Just before 7pm John Brunning (I think!) advertised this concert and then proceeded to interview the girls. Unfortunately, the start time for my meeting meant I could not listen. Did anyone else hear it?
Best wishes Grant

Hi Grant, Thanks, sounds like it was on Newsnight with John Brunning, 6.30pm - 7.00pm. Thankfully, Classic FM have a listen again feature, all shows for 7 days. www.classicfm.co.uk/Article.asp?id=363757I haven't got time to listen now but hopefully i'll get chance in the morning. Dazza

Hi Grant/Everyone,
I have just listened to the interview, it is a nice interview, the girls talk about everything from how they balance their careers with school, to the new album, to Alexandra, to how they feel about their fans, and they sing a bit of 'Sound of Silence' too.
The interview carries on into 'Smooth Classics At Seven' so you will have to listen to that too.

Any poor students (one only) who would like to attend the concert at St. James's this evening, please send me a PM. Sadly Gini's back cannot cope with sitting in a pew this week.
First come first served.

Roger, Richard, Grant, James, Dazza, Caite, Mark, Elizabeth.
Any chance of resting your coats on a couple of seats, I do not expect to be at St. James's until after 19:00?

Hello Drew! Sorry to hear about Gini's back; I hope she feels better soon. We'll try and save a couple of good seats for you this evening. See you later, Richard

Hi everyone.
I am doing my dangerously controversial crossing of threads again for which I am always in trouble on HWI. My excuse is that it is a cross-thread subject and I am trying to avoid multiple posts.
To Richard, thank you for giving more prominence to my report on my twice (so far) hearing of In Paradise. Under that thread, thank you Drew and I believe someone else for expressing gladness at seeing me post again.
However, under this thread, I was not going to say anything in advance but as the day wears on I am increasingly confident that I shall manage St James, this evening, hopefully early as when I spoke to the box office yeaterday they implied I would not have difficulty in obtaining tickets at the door which opens at 6:30. To be on the safe side, I suppose I must make by 6:00pm!
I will not push Mods' patience further, after all, they aren't the Angels we adore! :exit: save to mention that there is an event on Saturday and following Stephany's warning of a sudden rush on tickets, I've booked B36 in the hope I'll make it!

Last as usual to arrive at the venue (well Dave was just behind me but he had a good excuse to be late) and fellow members were found to have reserved a space for me, not with them, but up front with "the parents". Watch this space.

No student takes for my spare ticket and just too late to pass it on to postscript. As I arrived I went through a queue of people collecting tickets asking if there was anyone without a ticket. The first person I found turned out to be an Italian lady. I thrust the ticket into her hand, saying "Please take this, it is a free ticket". She could not understand but accepted it.
As you get old your eyesight fails. When I got back on the train home I realised that I still had two tickets. I had given the Italian lady my receipt rather than the ticket.
She must think the British mad. Dear lady, I am so sorry. I hope that you enjoyed the concert anyway.
Talking of concerts - I think it is probably Dazza'a turn to report, so I shall leave it to him.

Okay, so just a few photos before I head off to bed - at my age, I should have been all tucked up there hours ago Thanks again to everyone for a fantastic evening, and it was great to meet Libby and see Caite and all the guys again, and a special thanks to Alice for allowing me the chance to sit closer to the front and to take the pictures above If any of this doesn't make sense, it's because my brain is fried right now as Dave can attest to as he had to deal with my inane/insane? ramblings as I drove him to Guildford on my way home 'night all, and thanks to the girls for making it a great evening! ~Chris
