With Christmas still a whole six weeks away, The Sound thought we'd treat you to an early festive treat. Sadly, we don't have ten copies of the Spice Girls' Greatest Hits to give away, but we have managed to secure the blogging talents of All Angels, the best thing to happen to classical pop since Myleene left Hear'Say.
Each of the girls – there are four of them, you know – will be sharing their news, views and revelations as the most wonderful time of the year draws closer. First up is the lovely Melanie Nakhla:
"Well it's been an amazing 18 months for All Angels. I feel like we've been here, there and everywhere performing at various prestigious events. Last year we released our first album and it went to number 2 in the classical charts and number 9 in the UK pop charts, which was amazing! We had no idea that it would do so well in the pop charts because it's not very often that you find classical music in the pop charts, until now….
We've been really busy these past two months promoting our 2nd album. We've performed for the royal family at least twice this year and we were lucky enough to perform at this year's Classical Brits, where we were nominated for album of the year. We've just completed a radio tour around the country which was really fun to do as we got a little tour of some cities that we'd never been to.
We'll be turning on Christmas lights in loads of places like Sheffield and Bradford and opening the Shrewsbury Christmas fair - that one's particularly special for me as it's my home town and everyone there's been so helpful in promoting the release of our album!
Take care,
Melanie from All Angels."
How long will it be until one of the Angels slags off Vanessa Mae? Ladies and gentlemen, it's time to place your bets...
