Budding star: Flying high with all angels

All Angels competition winner Alexandra Lawrie of Perranporth is flying high.
After winning a talent search, Alexandra, 26, performed at a concert in London with the classical group All Angels.
It has opened up a variety of avenues for the budding star, including an offer from John Brunning, of Classic FM, to record.
"After the performance I was approached by different people and am in discussions with them," she said. "I will always be the fifth Angel and if one of them can't perform for any reason they want me."
The experience for her was incredible. "I was worried and excited, but also sad that it was coming to an end. But this is not the end, it is the beginning."
She is currently looking to record a demo album with her sister Katharine to send to record companies.
There will be some covers and some original songs. The pair often sing with their mum Susan at events around Cornwall.
For the week before the performance the primary school teacher was busy with the group. For Alexandra it was a whirlwind of television appearances, photo-shoots and rehearsals.
She said: "I loved every minute of it, but it was bizarre."
It started with an early morning stint on BBC Breakfast, when she sang live with the group. "It was really scary, more so than the concert, but so exciting."
The following day it was into the studio to record Pie Jesu with the group.
A few days off before it was another early start, this time for C5 news.
Then they were back on the studio recording, followed by a photo-shoot before the evening concert. She said: "The girls were amazing to me, so kind and welcoming. It is like a dream come true and I so determined to make it work."
At the concert Alexandra was shocked to see so many friends and family there.
