Re-release of debut album [digital] May 2007

Hi everyone,

I'm a bit confused and little anxious as to the recent news. From what I've read, it seems that the CD will not be released May 14, 2007...in fact, it is a digital only release. I have already "Pre-ordered" a copy through HMV. In hindsight, I probably should have waited, but I wouldn't think that they would change their minds in such a manner, especially so close to release date. I don't think I was the only one to pre-order a copy through HMV. (But I guess instead of speculating, I should e-mail them and see what will happen next.) Just wanted to clarify...am I right?

Hi Eric,

Based on our latest information, the conclusions you have reached are absolutely correct. As the girls are still heavily involved in their school work and exams, they will not be available to promote a re-release. That is bound to adversely affect the number of sales and so the decision has been made to have it available for download only to reduce costs. I wonder why the release wasn't merely postponed until such times as they are available. The other mystery is why this decision was made so late.

I just wanted to let you all know that 7digital moved things around a bit and had me looking around for the new digital album, but I finally found it! Here is the new link:

It also lists another track called 'The Windmills Of Your Mind (Sunset Mix)'. It sounds very...uh...interesting!

Hi Cathleen,

Thank you for telling us about the Sunshine Mix. I don't think we knew about that and, dare I say, perhaps it would have been better if it had stayed that way. Sorry Angels!

Maybe I'm just getting old but I always thought the musicians should back the singer, not the other way around. Vocally, it is okay (from what I could hear of it) but the rest of it gave me a headache. Maybe they recorded it for a bet because I can't think of any other reason and it certainly doesn't fit with the rest of the album.

Once upon a time, you might be able to persuade a store to exchange an unwanted CD with something else. That doesn't work when you've downloaded it.

I listened to the 30 second sample and that was quite enough. Sorry Angels but I can hear backing like that every hour of the day on Radio 1... or somewhere. Bring back the singing!
