On April 23rd All Angels will release a new version of the album. Having recently been in the studio, the new edition will feature three brand new recordings. The new tracks are 'Make Me A Channel Of Your Peace', 'Pie Jesu', plus a rousing rendition of 'Sancte Deus (Nimrod)' by Elgar. You can hear clips of these new tracks exclusively through the media player on this site. Above from www.allangelsofficial.com News Headlines. As it is no longer Christmas I presume that we lose 'Silent Night'. What else was festive? P.S. Is anyone fortunate enough to receive tickets for Mother's Day? For Sunday - best wishes to: Caroline Buffy Alice Susan Without you we would have No Angels.

Here is the tracklist from HMV: 1. Songbird 2. The Flower Duet [From Lakme] 3. Salve Regina [Based On Pachelbel's Canon] 4. Steal Away 5. The Windmills Of Your Mind 6. Barcarolle [From The Tales Of Hoffman] 7. Hosanna 8. Ave Verum Corpus [Theme From Brideshead Revisited] 9. Angels 10. Ave Maria 11. Pokarekare Ana 12. Agnus Dei 13. Sancte Deus (Nimrod) 14. Make Me A Channel of Your Peace 15. Pie Jesu So I guess the only song that we lose is Silent Night. Can't wait to hear the new songs!

Hi Meagan, Many thanks for the tracklisting. I'm sure those three new tracks will be wonderful, based on the clips we have heard. The loss of Silent Night will make the album more appropriate throughout the rest of the year. Roger

Hi Folks I agree entirely about excluding Christmas songs from the main album, I get the odd raised eyebrow when a christmas song comes on in the middle of March or worse still the middle of June. A bonus disc with Christmas songs would be an easy way around this.

Hey Comet!
I've not logged on to this forum for a day or two - nice to find you here and hope you enjoy yourself.
I'm also looking forward to the re-released album.
Best wishes

Just to let everyone know...if you didn't...the re-released album and new tracks (of course) were released yesterday on Itunes! Is it me or is "Carvelleria Rusticana: Hosanna" new as well??
I just looked and it is replacing "Intermezzo" from Carvelleria Rusticana!

Hello Anya! I'm certain that is the same track. 'Hosanna' is the title on the original version of the CD, and it is based on the Intermezzo, so iTunes have probably made a correction there. Best Wishes, Richard

Hello everyone, Richard drew my attention yesterday to a new News Item on All Angels official site which states the following: Richard, I agree with your interpretation of this. The extra tracks will only be available on download and not on a CD, therefore the physical CD Special Edition has been cancelled. It will be interesting to see if the supermarkets and general stores re-stock with the original version of All Angels, which is still posssible. In hindsight, my guess is now that release of the CD Special Edition may have been conditional on All Angels winning "Album of The Year" at the Classical Brits, and that the release date was initially postponed to 14 May to allow time for Universal to get the album into shops IF they won. Sadly, they did not and yesterday's News item on the official site may have given us an advance clue that they did not win! Well spotted Richard! I have updated the information on the AAI front page and the Scrolling News header in the forum. Cheers, Dave

Cheers, Dave Nope, that is not the reason, Dave. Daisy told me at the CBAs that they would not be available to do any promotion for the re-release because they will all be heavily involved with exams. It was therefore considered more prudent to limit the re-release to download only thereby greatly reducing costs. Roger

Hmmm, thanks for that Roger, sounds like a bit of a mix-up then. I'd have thought Decca etc. should have known about the girls' future exam committments well in advance! Cheers, Dave

Last night, I downloaded the three bonus tracks: Sancte Deus (Nimrod) is absolutely gorgeous. Make Me A Channel Of Your Peace is also absolutely gorgeous. Pie Jesu is, you've guess, AG! These tracks, and the entire album with the exception of 'Silent Night', are available now at 7digital.com for 77 pence each or 7.77 GBP for all fifteen tracks! Roger
