These seem to have vanished this evening (if you are a guest). Has the webmaster changed a default setting?

Hi Drew,
The smilies only ever appear on the "Post Message" page (during the process of composing a reply). Guests cannot make replies and therefore would never see the smilies.
We are currently using the default settings (as far as smilies are concerned) and nothing has been changed.
If that doesn't answer your question, please come back.
