Hello again Roger! Many thanks for all the updates. I'm now seeing the message from Proboards, which I couldn't get this morning, so it looks as though I'm reconnected to the server. I've got some interesting news about today's Classic FM Most Wanted chart, so I'll post it in the Hayley Westenra thread to keep everybody entertained. Best Wishes, Richard

Hi Richard
Thank-you to you and to Stephany for keeping us entertained with updates on Hayley while the site is still down. Thanks also Roger and Dave for the updates. Hopefully, things will be back to something approaching normal over the next few days.
Mark.

Hi Everyone, Glad to have found you !! I was away from last Tuesday to Saturday evening and find no HWI forum on Sunday. Nearly a week for me without HWI. I had found the same links Joe posted myself so was aware what was happening but it did not make it any easier. Anyway.......... I also got my email to say my CD's were on the way from Japan Looking on the bright side the HWI shutdown has resulted in me registering for AAI forum ;D ( Hi Dazza ;D ) Best Wishes All, Graham

Hi guys, We are seeing some progress now on Planet H1 datacenter Phase 1 (floor 1 where the HWI Forum Server 20 is located). Here are the two latest updates direct from The Planet hourly update web pageNow that power is restored and when the technical checks are complete, Proboards will be able to start transferring the data to the new servers already installed. I am hopeful now that the HWI forum will be back online sometime on Tuesday GMT. Reminder - Please do not post anything if you see the restored forum before Roger or I do (i.e. unless you have the go-ahead from us) - we wish to ensure that all the original data is restored first, to reduce the chance of any lost or duplicated posts and threads.Cheers, Dave

Thank you for the update, Dave! It's very strange to be HWI-less Stephany

Hi Graham,
Welcome to the forum....it's all part of my big plan to boost the ratings on AAI. ;D
The Stole City proboards forum has now been restored and it looks as though little, if any posts has been lost at all. Hopefully we will see HWI back soon, hopefully without much data missing.

I have beem monitoring the situation at approximately two hourly intervals throughout the night but I regret we seem to be no further forward. Server 20 has not yet begun copying. I know Dave interpreted a message differently yesterday but I am still not expecting the HWI forum to return before tomorrow morning (BST) at the earliest.
Incidentally, I have seen warnings that, once all forums are back online, there are likely to be further outages due to generator issues. At the moment, they are scheduled for Saturday 7th or Saturday 14th June. The Planet hope they will be limited to 6 hours.

I have just noticed that the HWI url is now routed to the ProBoards website homepage rather than the recovery status page.

Hi Roger
Thank you for the update and for your diligence and dedication in keeping on top of the situation at Proboards.
I agree with your understanding. I had a look at the updates late last night and it would appear that to get things up and running initially more quickly, they have brought in a stand-by generator whilst a new permanent transformer is installed and set up. The follow up down time will be whilst they transfer power to from the stand-by to the permanent power source. If they actually can limit this to 6-8 hours, it will be a magnificent acheivement.
Incidentally, I've just had a look at HWI which is now showing Proboards home page which, I think could be more confusing than what we previously had.
Anyway, as several members have said, setting up temporary shop over here at AAI at least keeps us chatting, though I'm surprised more of our regular contributors have not found us yet, or maybe they're just lurking in the background.
If they don't actually know what is happening during this downtime, I can see some major Hayley therapy being required to resusitate them!
Best wishes Grant

Thanks for the latest update, Roger. And please take some rest Grant, I hesitated to post a message on Hayley's official forum to let everyone know what's happening but I'm not sure our "regular members" go there. Love Stephany

Hi Martin and Grant, The url pointing to the ProBoards Home page is a very recent development. I don't know what that tells us but have asked the question. For Steph: Don't worry, I can type in my sleep! Roger

This is the answer from Patrick at ProBoards: Tells you I'm continuing to work through the night My question AND his reply were both times at 12:05. That guy deserves a medal. Roger

Hi Grant and Stephany, I rarely look at the official forum so I didn't know if it had been mentioned there. If we were to explain the situation, it would help to reassure our members but, as you say, many of them don't look at it. For everyone else who is not an HWI member, it may not help our reputation (HWI's and ProBoards). If any of them were considering joining, something like this might put them off. It therefore might be better not to say anything. If it is already there, that's fine. We will just go with the flow. Roger
