Hello everybody! I'm short of time this morning, but I can add two items to the set list. The concert began with the five-piece ensemble playing Elgar's 'Chanson de Matin', then they played his 'Salut d'Amour' in the middle of the second half. It was a brilliant concert, and I'll have more to say later. Best Wishes, Richard

Morning all, I'm not going to do a review of the concert itself as there are far better qualified people than me out there who will hopefully be taking care of this, and that means that Caitlin will probably be doing a clothing review as mine would be along the lines of "they wore white, and they got changed into more white. It was all very :insert dramatic pause: white" What I will say is that I had a fantastic day yesterday and the evening just topped it off perfectly. The girls sang amazingly and had some beautiful new songs to debut. I noticed how strong Daisy's voice was along with her personality; she really seemed to lead the girls and have so much fun in doing so. I don't think my brain is up to anything more complex than those few words above, so I'll leave it there, other than to say that it was great to see everyone again. 10 in attendance was a great number, and it was good to see Steve, Stuart, Caitlin, Roger et al again. I'll look forward to seeing all of the pictures, and especially the ones that Steve took when he gets back online over the weekend.. ~Chris

As you will have gathered from Drew's video, we heard the girls long before we saw them. The concert was held in a chapel at one end of the church, and the concert began with them singing from the back as they slowly proceeded towards the stage. Despite them not having microphones at this point, their voices could be heard clearly right from the start but grew stronger as they advanced. So, let's go back in time. I decided to spend the day sightseeing in London and reached the venue ridiculously early and immediately met Richard. Still long before the doors were due to open, we had been joined by Gordon, Steve, Stuart, Caitlin and Chris - welcome to the forum, Chris! Someone opened the church door from within about twenty minutes before time and asked if we were "something to do with the concert". We were allowed in immediately and encouraged to choose the best seats. So it was that most of us found ourselves in the front row! Thank you Drew for the video and I can't help but wonder if there might be more to come! Roger

Hello again folks! Last night was the sixth time I've seen All Angels perform since their launch last summer, but the previous five were all fairly brief appearances. The concert at St. Bartholomew's Church was the first ever full concert with All Angels headlining, and it was a very special event that was well worth waiting for. The girls sang fourteen songs, some from their first album and the others from their forthcoming second album, to a spellbound audience of over 150 which included large contingents from their families and AAI. All Angels were backed by a five-piece ensemble comprising two violins, viola, cello and grand piano, and the ensemble opened the show with Elgar's 'Chanson de Matin'. Classic FM's John Brunning then made an announcement about the 'Search for an Angel' competition before introducing Charlotte, Daisy, Laura and Melanie. We could hear them singing 'Swing Low Sweet Chariot' a cappella from the back of the church, then they walked slowly up the aisle and reached the stage just before the end of the song. They didn't use microphones for this song, but their voices were crystal clear and perfectly balanced, and the beautiful harmonies were out of this world! They then picked up their microphones and sang Offenbach's 'Barcarolle', followed by 'Sull'aria' from Mozart's 'Marriage of Figaro'. This is normally a duet, but the girls sang a four-part arrangement and moved around the stage with some excellent choreography. This was followed by John Brunning's 'Pie Jesu', and I could see the composer really enjoyed All Angels' performance of this, as we all did. The girls then sang 'In Paradisum' from Fauré's 'Requiem', before closing the first half with two pop songs, 'Nothing Compares 2 U' and 'Singing You Through'. The last song was written by Bedlam stablemate Heather Nova, and was very well received by everybody. The girls started the second half by singing Delibes' 'Flower Duet', again as a four-part arrangement. Next came 'Songbird' and 'Hosanna', followed by 'Steal Away', which the girls sang a cappella and without microphones as they slowly walked from the stage to the back of the church. It was very effective to hear their voices fading into the distance. The ensemble then played Elgar's 'Salut d'Amour' before All Angels returned to sing 'Ave Verum Corpus', based on the theme from 'Brideshead Revisited'. They followed this with Simon and Garfunkel's 'Sound of Silence', before ending their magnificent performance with 'Make Me A Channel Of Your Peace', which they'd sung at last year's Festival of Remembrance in the Royal Albert Hall. I was very impressed with All Angels' performance throughout the concert. They were very professional while clearly having fun, and I particularly liked the way they all took turns at introducing the songs. As I said earlier, this was their first full concert, and I'm sure there will be many more in the years ahead. Very well done Charlotte, Daisy, Laura and Melanie! Richard

welcome to the forum, Chris! Thanks Thought that it was a requirement to join after expressing so much joy last night We were allowed in immediately and encouraged to choose the best seats. So it was that most of us found ourselves in the front row! Except for me as I didn't want to be seen/noticed/discovered..

(Item 4) Pie JesuIt is a bit long because I have included the introduction. I think it adds atmosphere. This was special because the composer was present. That's all until Sunday. It is off to gay Parrie in the morning. Stephany, you'll recognise me, I am the one wearing white with a red rose!
