It has been mentioned briefly on HWI and there is a bit more discussion on Jonathan Ansell's forum.

I am contemplating going, if I can sort out some other stuff for that weekend.

I like Saturday concerts, I don't have to arrange everything around work!

Though I might be having a friend over from Italy that weekend but it's not certain. I'll know soon and if not I will go to the concert.

I'm working on it but it's doubtful. Gutted as nine times out of ten I would be able to make this concert as it's a Saturday.

I have seen fairly recent messages about it from All Angels and Jonathan, so I would guess there are probably still tickets available.
I couldn't find any way to book online, so I rang the number on the poster (link in the first post of this thread). They were quite helpful.

I also tried to look at online and got directed to a site that wasn't listing the Event.

Will have to give them a call over the next couple of days once/if my day off gets the nod!

I tried but I won't be able to attend this one - I will instead be drowning my sorrows at Stoke Beer Festival at not being able to go.

I hope that everyone attending has a fantastic time and I look forward to reports and pictures.

Sorry to those who had booked to go to this concert, it is always dissapointing when concerts are cancelled, especially as last minute as this.

According to Jonathan's forum, it is due to poor ticket sales

Oh no! I was so looking forward to that. It looked as though it would have been a wonderful concert. Well, that's spoilt my day. I suppose the tickets were quite expensive, but the atmosphere in the cathedral would have been amazing. Suppose I'll have to apply for a refund. What a shame.
I'll have to try for Birmingham now.

"I have to sadly announce that The Soldiers Charity show Saturday 23rd October in Worcester Cathedral has been regrettably cancelled.

Unfortunately the event due to include performances from myself, All Angels and the 4th Battalion Military Band has not sold enough seats to make it viable.

I am deeply sorry to those of you who had planned to come and enjoy what was set to be a delightful evening. The charity will refund all tickets so please do contact the box office.

I hope that we can reschedule this event at some point in the future and next time, make it a huge success. It is with huge regret that I have to inform you of this so close to the event. I hope that you can understand and continue your unwavering support into the future.

But I am pleased to say I will now be appearing this Saturday in both performances of Lark Rise to Candleford at the Kings Theatre Edinburgh
