What a fabulous night it was on Saturday.....with regards to your question stephany about it being a sell out....definatley was not, I counted 10 people in each row on each side of the aisle and there were in total 20 rows with people in them so just under 400 people. I spoke to one of the stewards and they said that the seating plan was for 1600 people...it looked nice though. Talking of dresses did you see the organiser from Purple Dragon she had a lovely full lengh red velvet dress with cape coat to match...not that i managed to see much of her she seemed to be running round doing things all the time. She did a great job though, the concert went so smoothley, Kathy was a great extra The VIP reception was great, nice food and proper champagne....though Dazza you did hog the girls a bit!!! There was a young lady called Sophie Hill playing for that as well and she was really good, shame every one was chatting and she did not get the applause she deserved...we stood and listened to her for al while and brought one of her CD's which i listened to in the car on the way home...its really good and all her own songs. See you all in Coventry....

Hi flowingspring, Thanks for your comments and report, though I am a little surprised at your comment about me.. i'm shy I went up to say hello to the girls and got some covers signed for a friend as well as my picture taken, then I stood back just to take some pictures, and I took a few pictures for other people too. The champagne and the food was lovely, the VIP reception was great. I am really looking forward to Coventry.. come and say hello if you see me again. Becky, that is a lovely photo of you and Will, thanks for posting it. Dazza

Hi Dazza, i was joking to my other half that he's my new boyfriend. It is a good picture, i wish i posed as relaxed with the girls - i was unbelievably nervous!
You know that picture i made? Well there's a few magazines in the stitchy world that i sent a letter to about the concert and my picture that i made for the girls. I've heard back from one today called The World of Cross Stitching who've said they're really interested in the story and photos and are going to run it as the big Reader Story which will be a whole pager. That's something to look forward to!

Hi Floweringspring, Becky and Dazza, Many thanks for your additional reports and photographs. You have done AAI proud. :applaud: :applaud: :applaud: The attendance figures sound very disappointing but it seems as though you all had a great evening. Not long until Coventry now! Roger

Ha ha Martin! I'm hoping it's not an April Fool's joke on my behalf! Won't know when it'll be published yet, they told me they'll let me know which issue they'll get it into. About the concert turn out, i thought it looked packed in the Minster, when i looked back i thought all the seats were full. The side chairs weren't used however, but i still thought there was a fair crowd. I hope the girls didn't feel disappointed then. Hope the following concerts are good for them.

Hi Becky,
The seats weren't filled all the way back, but I thought there was a good turn out too, to me there looked around 600-700 there. There weren't as many V.I.P's as I thought there would have been... but that's a good thing! ;D

Dazza, i definitely agree with that! Hey, more time with the girls for those of us who just love them too much, you can't argue with that. Are you seeing them VIP at Coventry? Wonder what the turn out there will be, and how many VIP.

Congratulations Dazza on your 500th post. (I am not sure about the new title admins!) Hi Drew and thanks for pointing that out. It appears that Proboards have changed the default name for members who reach 500 posts. We have certainly changed nothing and I would have expected the name Maestro to have appeared. I will look into it. Congratulations to Dazza for becoming... er... something to be decided! EDIT: Now done. Dazza, congratulations on reaching Maestro status! :applaud: Roger

Well done
