I'm going to this one. It'll be the first time I've seen the girls live since BBC Choristers 2006. Who else is going? x

Hi Lyndsey,
I hope that you enjoy the concert, I am sure that you will have a wonderful time. I'm looking forward to reading your comments afterwards.
I wish I was there too. Is it possible to be in two places at once? But at least I have been to York and in a few moments I will be leaving for Coventry.. I can't wait!

Hi Everyone Just got back from Bury St Edmunds having seen the All Angels again who were as usual very good. I was thrilled to see that Kathy Leigh sang brilliantly again and I hope we will see more of her performing with the girls.By the way her website address is www.kathyleigh.com and it is worth visiting as it features the All Angels as well. Will Martin was great to. Bonnie

Hi Bonnie, A very warm welcome to the forum, I really like Kathy's voice and I brought her CD at Coventry. I have made a seperate thread about her HEREI am very happy to hear that you enjoyed the concert at Bury St Edmunds, I see that you also went to Coventry? Did you notice if there were any differences in the set list or was it the same? Dazza

Welcome to the forum Stephen and thank you for posting so promptly.
Were you blown far away or do you live locally to Bury (and Laura)?

Thank you for your welcomes. I was "blown" to outside the Cathederal, and the realised it was way too cold so returned.
I travelled from Brighton, so it was a fair old journey. Well worth it.
I am now looking forward to hoing to the Classical Brit Awards at The Royal Albert Hall, and I will be keeping my fingers crossed for the girls.

Hi Stephen,
Very happy to hear you think your journey from Brighton was worth it.
I have done a fair bit of traveling myself for concerts, I can't drive so rely on trains and public transport which often means finding accommodation as well for the long distance trips. Every one has been well worth it though.
I will also hopefully be at the Classical Brits, I have a ticket but something has come up so I am not sure yet. There is just a few days in the voting left so make sure you spread the word.

As someone who lived not too far from you in Nantwich, Cheshire, it is a pain getting ANYWHERE lol.
It was well worth the trip from Brighton. I never did say my favorite moments from the concert. The re-naming of the "Flower Duet" as "Terminal 5" did amuse me, but "Sull Aria" takes the nod.
I did not see a suggestion page for future recordings, but I can not help but think that the Girl's lovely harmonies wild be perfect for Mozart's "Lacrimosa". Mmmmm hearing that in a Catherdral environment would be divine.
As for the Brits, it was announced today that Ana Netrebko was performing. With her singing and the chance of the Angels winning an award, I would sell my children to attend lol.

Hi Stephen,
I used to spend quite a bit of time in Nantwich when I was younger, as my ex lives there. It's not too bad for traveling from here, for trains Stoke is on the main Manchester to London route, and being in the middle of the country nowhere is really too far that I wouldn't travel.
I am glad you enjoyed Sull Aria, the performance for that song was one of the highlights for me from the tour too.
