Southwark Cathedral, London Carol Concert in aid of Marie Curie Nurses Thursday 13th December at 7pm Join us for a very special carol concert in the stunning surroundings of Southwark Cathedral to help Marie Curie Nurses offer comfort and dignity to terminally ill cancer patients and their families at Christmas and throughout the year. Attended by Royal Highness Princess Alexandra, and hosted by Sue Lawley, Carols in the City takes place on Thursday 13th December at7pm. The concert will capture the spirit of Christmas with carols by candlelight and festive readings given by celebrity guests; Sir Tim Rice, Simon Williams, James Fleet, Maureen Lipman and Anne Reid. The highlight of the evening will be a performance by the world’s first female classical super group All Angels. Platinum-selling All Angels have previously performed with Russell Watson, Katherine Jenkins and before the Queen at the Royal Albert Hall. Described in the Telegraph as ‘sublime’ and by Classic FM as ‘perfect’ they promise to add a very special performance to this year’s concert. Tickets cost £25. Hi Northern Lights, Yeah, All Angels did! Oh, I see what you mean. No, I am sorry to say that none of us attended this event because it clashed with Hayley's concert in Southampton which we had booked for long ago. Had it been on any other day, I would certainly have gone and I expect several other members would have been there too. Hopefully, such clashes won't occur too often because it is frustrating and disappointing when they do. Roger

Hi Everyone,
I would have liked to have gone to this myself but unfortunatly it was too soon after the announcement for me to be able to arrange a trip to London, especially during midweek. I guess I need to learn to drive so I don't have to rely on trains all the time. ;D
