All Angels Four very different teenage girls. One shared passion for music.
We are proud to present the world’s first female classical supergroup - All Angels. United by their love of music, and by the freshness of youth, Melanie, Laura, Daisy and Charlotte combine to form a unique vocal quartet for the 21st century.
Their heavenly repertoire includes favourites such as Schubert’s Ave Maria, Barber’s Agnus Dei, and the Sancta Maria intermezzo from Cavalliera Rusticana, along with Delibes’ Flower Duet from Lakme and Offenbach’s Barcarolle. There are vocal versions of Pachelbel’s Canon and Geoffrey Bergon’s Theme for Brideshead Revisited - set to Latin text - and the traditional spiritual Steal Away.
From the world of pop come Robbie Wi lliams’ ode to his Mother, Angels, Fleetwood Mac’s Songbird - popularised by Eva Cassidy, and Carole King’s You’ve Got A Friend. The four girls were selected following an extensive nationwide search of schools, choirs and music schools. Each girl was picked for bringing a different quality to the group.
All Angels debut album is released November 2006
Nothing new, but at least they are spreading the word.
