To everyone who has enquired if and when the CD is to be released outside the UK.
I can confirm that it will be relased in Canada, US, Hong Kong, Australia and New Zealand (and probably elsewhere). No dates have been decided but, as ever, they will be staggered and are unlikely to be before the new year.

I have just received a notification for my pre-release order from Tesco.
The estimated despatch date has now been put back to 13th November (originally 30th October).
This puts it back in line with HMV (and UCJ).
So until Roger receives any contradition from Steve Abbott, the release European release date for the album is 13th November.

Hi Drew, I think we have to assume 13th November for the time being. I does seem to be the most likely. That makes it still 50 days to go. Roger

Thanks Roger for getting the confimation of releases outside of the UK. But after the new year? That's an awful long time to wait! I suppose it makes sense though.

Hi Belinda,
There is always hope that they will visit NZ (and elsewhere) in due course but that probably wouldn't even be considered until they are reasonably well established in the UK. If they want to break into the market worldwide, they will have to travel to promore an album.

On the UCJ site, they now list the cd as coming out on Nov. 13.

Hi Meagan, Thanks for that. There have been two possible dates mentioned for the past few weeks. The earlier one was 30th October but that is now highly unlikely. It is now almost certain that it will be 13th November. I guess they wanted to keep us in suspense a little longer! Roger

Just when we thought that the release date for the album was settled as November 13th, I receive the newsletter from Universal Music announcing a release date for the digital album of 30th October (back to where we started).

Hello Drew! It could be that the album will be available to download from 30th October, but the CD will be released on 13th November. I'm really looking forward to it! ;D Best Wishes, Richard

I don't think it is a good idea. For those who want to buy a real CD, he or she needs to wait 13 more days. Others who choose to download can enjoy the music 13 days early! Raymond

Hi Raymond, I have an opinion on that too but it may be a cynical one. If they released the digital version and the *real* CD on the same day, people would buy one or the other. By releasing the digital version earlier, the devoted fans (like me!) will buy both. So, from a commercial pint of view, it could be advantageous. For me, no downloaded file will ever replace an actual CD with its insert but if the digital version enables me to hear every track in full two weeks earlier, it looks as though I shall be buying it twice. I shall be patient and await the proper release on 13 November! ;D Probably... However, if the rest of that mailing list email from UCJ is as accurate as the bit about the digital single, (which was released last week) we can hardly rely on that 30th October date either. Only Roger a few people will buy both the digital version and the CD so I don't understand why UCJ would do this (with the album). Releasing it early could affect the first week sales of the CD and result in a slightly lower chart position. I hope UCJ know what they are doing, if they meant what they said).

Hello Dave and everybody! I don't download music from the Internet, so I'm going to wait for the CD too. November 13th, I make it... 33 days to go! ;D I hope the time flies! Richard :jester:
