Hello Roger! Classic FM certainly seem to be promoting All Angels at the moment, particularly by including their 'Songbird' video in the TV's Most Wanted Video of the Month poll. It's probably only a matter of time before they appear in the radio's Most Wanted voting list too, so I'm keeping a close watch! ;D See you and everybody at HMV! 12 days to go! ;D Richard

Hello Elaine and welcome to the forum!
The store is likely to be very busy - it always is. Quite how many will be there specifically because of All Angels' appearance cannot be estimated. I suspect a lot of people will be there because Matt Willis (formerly of Busted) will also be appearing as his name is better known than theirs (at the moment!).
However, there will be a few of us lot there and we will do our best to show the girls some support. Might you be joining us?
Roger

Hello Elaine, and welcome to the forum! I'm going for certain, and I'm just round the corner from HMV in Tottenham Court Road at the moment. Less than 3½ hours to go! Richard :jester:

My journey today was planned with military precision to arrive at HMV at 12:25. However, I failed to allow for someone wishing to end their lives on the railway tracks at Cricklewood and therefore I arrived at 12:40 to the dulcet tones of Matt Willis. (Now my ears are busted.) No doubt the rest of the AAI photographic team will be posting later, but I give you two video freeze frames to prove that the Angels turned up on time even if I did not. Daisy Laura Sadly, no CD signings took place but at least I am the proud owner of a Limited Edition Single.

Now we were all told that there would definitely be no CD signings. Here we see Melanie clearly using a pen (left-handed). But as she is right next to Laura she is probably signing a CD for her alone. Charlotte smiles at the crowds. They have certainly learned what Hayley told them. Ladies, sorry about the juxta-positioning of the tee shirt in the background.

Hi everyone, All Angels performed their CD single, 'Songbird', mainly to a crowd of schoolgirls who were eagerly awaiting a performance by Matt Willis. Nevertheless, they gave a spendid rendition which was much appreciated by everyone from the AAI team. As Drew has acknowleded, there was no signing session as such. In fact very few people had anything to sign unless they happened to have a voucher which they could exchange for a CD chosen from the ten who are involved with the National Music Week campaign. The lucky few who managed to get something signed were clearly friends of one or other of the girls. During this time, Charlotte and Daisy both spotted us and gave us a wave. I hoped they would eventually come towards us as we were clearly not going to be allowed to approach them. It was not to be. All too soon, the security guards ushered the girls away from the public part of the store. A few minutes later, we spotted Steve Abbott on the far side of the store so we casually walked his way. After a brief discussion, he disappeared in persuit of some CDs for those of us who had not been able to purloin one by devious means. Whilst we awaited his return, we chatted at some length with Ian Tilley who we didn't realise was there until that point. Surprisingly, he had not played the piano for them during their performance. Steve eventually returned but had not found any CDs. We quickly forgave him because, by then, we had found a supply and, as they were free anyway, we helped ourselves! Steve didn;t let us down though - he brought four Angels with him instead! I will merely add for now that I was delighted to meet Grant for the first time, and my thanks go to Stuart who will be posting some brilliant photographs, to Richard for the guided tour of London and to Peter for the banquet on board the floating restarant on the Thames. But I'll let them tell their stories! Oh and, yes, they did sign my CD! Roger

Whilst we awaited his return, we chatted at some length with Ian Tilley who we didn't realise was there until that point. Surprisingly, he had not played the piano for them during their performance. Roger So who was the pianist on this occasion and how did they manage to disassemble the grand piano? Sorry that I did not stop to chat, I only popped out during an extended lunch hour. I hope that the tracks were cleared by the time that Grant got back to St Pancras. The three CDs that I left the store with were entirely legal according to HMV as they went through the till (at no cost). I do not know if we all went against the ethics of national music week as we should all have been in school uniform!

Hey everyone! It sounds as though it was quite the busy place. But the photos I've seen so far are fantastic, as are the stories. Drew, that's too bad about arriving late. Next time, eh? I'll be back to check out any more photos/reports that may be coming in. Thanks for sharing! <3 Caite
