I hope you manage to get one, Jeffrey. I heard they were selling well in your area this morning! Only kidding! Let us know what you think, Jeffrey. Roger Well I nearly had a heart attack when I went into ASDA Walmart because I looked at the chart cd's, and I thought the obvious place to find it would be the new releases section, but that was empty!! So then I thinks, ah must be number one then, the next logical place to find it, but again I couldn't see any cd's there!!! I followed the chart all the way down to NUMBER 13 until I could find it!!! Thats just crazy!!! Someone obviously putting it in the wrong part of the display thingy!!! Anyway, its a cracking cd, and having " You've Got A Friend " on there as well is an excellent bonus!!! ;D If this single isn't Christmas Number 1 then the Christmas Number 1 thing is just a farce!!! Like most of us here, I maybe a teeny weeny bit biased, but out of 10 I'd give this single 10!!!!

Hi Dave, You may have had a wasted trip, my Tesco's has not got it in the top 20, and they only stock the top 20, so like you I still do not have the single I know the local paper is plugging the single, but it would be nice if there was one left for me somewhere, If I order it on amazon will it count against this weeks figures? Steve H Hi Steve, I still haven't got to Tesco so I don't know! However, I did go into Fareham today and Woolworths have loads in stock, it's no. 9 in their singles chart... and it's only £2.99 there! If you must order from Amazon, you'll pay more of course but they are still saying it will be delivered before Christmas if ordered by Wednesday. And yes, sales will count for this week's chart (upto midnight on Saturday night). Jeffrey, the consensus on several pop music forums seems to be that "Angels" will do very well indeed to get into the top 10, a top 20 placing will be good... and a place somewhere between 21 and 40 is a definite possibility (due to the usual lack of airplay for classical artists, as I mentioned earlier in the thread). If members were reporting lots of airplay of "Angels" I would be more optimistic of course... but nobody has reported any, yet. As Katherine Jenkins could only reach no. 62 with her single last month, it's obviously tough out there' for classical singers doing singles. But of course, I hope "Angels" will be no. 1 anyway! Cheers, Dave

Hello Richard and everyone! I now have my copy of All Angels single "Angels" (that's a mouth full!) Got it an hour ago but haven't had chance to play it yet. When I got to ASDA, theirs was the only slot (sadly still No. 13) with nothing in it. Luckily there were a couple of shelf stackers nearby and I asked if they had any more copies. The lady found another 20 or so in a drawer and explained that the rack only holds 6 at a time. I advised her that she should keep an eye open for the next time it's empty and refill it quickly!! The moral is - :applaud: Grant

Cheers, Dave As suspected, things are tough out there (exactly the same problem as Katherine had). In the early midweeks, "Angels" is just outside the top 50 so the current target is... to see if they can beat Katherine Jenkins' recent highest ever position in the singles chart, no. 62. The other thing is that people who buy classical and classical crossover music do not buy singles. Ever seen Il Divo release a single? Now you know why not! However we still have a few days left to get All Angels into the top 40 so... everybody p...u...s...h !!! Cheers, Dave

Angels finally landed at number 48 in the official pop singles chart - not quite in the top 40 as I'd hoped but a highly creditable result nevertheless because most singles released by Classical or crossover artists don't get in the chart at all. It climbed several places as the week went on so it's a pity that the week only had 7 days in it! No. 48 is 14 places higher than Katherine managed a few weeks ago, with Green Green Grass of Home. Congratulations to All Angels! Cheers, Dave

Congratulations Charlotte, Daisy, Laura and Melanie! :applaud: :applaud: :applaud: :applaud: You may not have made it to the Christmas No.1, but 'Angels' has certainly won you plenty of very good publicity! ;D Happy New Year! Richard :jester:
